When R. Shmuel of Lubavitch was seven, his father once remarked to him: The kindness and special quality in G-d's making man upright, to walk erectly, is that though he walks on the earth he sees the Heavens; not so with beasts that go on all fours: they see only the earth.
It is better to have one bird in a cage than a hundred in the air.
If you don't run so far, the way back will be shorter.
A person should always consider himself to be half wicked and half righteous. If he did one mitzvah, praiseworthy is he, for he tipped himself toward the side of righteousness. If he sinned, woe is to him, for he tipped himself toward the side of guilt.
The world is in serious trouble...
We can try to help it by collectively saying the entire sefer Tehillim daily. Click the link to select one or more to participate.
Please sign up to say a portion of Tehillim daily.
We are trying to have the whole Sefer Tehillim said daily as a z'chus for the safety of the Jews in Eretz Yisroel.
