Man enters the world with his hands clenched as if to say, The entire world is mine, and when he passes away, his hands are unclenched as if to say, I have taken nothing from this world.

Midrash Rabbah
Our sages say: Seek peace in your own place. You cannot find peace anywhere save in own self. When a man has made peace within himself he is able to make peace in the whole world.
The sins which man commits - these are not his great crime. The great crime of man is that he can repent at any moment, and does not do so.
The universe is always unfinished... it calls for our continuous labor and unceasing renewal - for we are partners of the Creator.
A fool says what he knows, while a sage knows what he says.
