R. Avraham Yaakov of Sadigora was asked: Our sages say: And there is not a thing that has not its place. And so man too has his own place. Then why do people sometimes feel so crowded? He replied... Because each wants to occupy the place of other.
When a man suffers, he ought not to say: That's bad! That's bad! Nothing that G-d imposes on man is bad. But it is all right to say: That's bitter. For among medicines, there are some that are made with bitter herbs.
When young, remember that service to the L-rd is like food - best when fresh. When old, remember that service to G-d is like wine - best with age.
The world is in serious trouble...
