Man enters the world with his hands clenched as if to say, The entire world is mine, and when he passes away, his hands are unclenched as if to say, I have taken nothing from this world.
The pouch in which tefillin are carried has kedusha (sanctity). If it falls to the ground, even inadvertently, we immediately pick it up and kiss it. So imagine a Jew, who puts on tefillin, how much more sanctity he has.
The world is in serious trouble...
